Cataract Canyon offers some of the premier white water rapids of the west, making trips down this part of the Colorado River a once-in-lifetime experience. These two-, four- and five-day trips offer an excellent alternative for guests who aren’t able to join our longer trips in the Grand Canyon.

Enjoy the relaxing first 49 miles of the trip on the Colorado River in calm water with the anticipation of the excitement of the whitewater within Cataract Canyon. Once you arrive at the confluence of the Green and Colorado rivers the adventure of Cataract Canyon begins—with 29 rapids in all!

Choose between motorized and oar expeditions, both of which include all meals and camping gear. Ideal for families, Cataract Canyon adventures can accommodate children as young 12 on oar boat trips and 8 for motorized boat trips.
