The Grand Canyon’s tall red walls and blue water has long been a favorite subject of study for photographers and geographers. One such explorer, Gary Ladd has been photographing the Southwest and exploring its geology for more than 30 years. As a frequent contributor to such publications as National Geographic and Life, Ladd has a passion for the Southwest and its most impressive locations, such as Grand Canyon National Park.
On this eight-day raft trip, Ladd will speak to his inspirations for his photographs, such as geology and astronomy, while he shows rafters pointers to getting that magazine-quality shot. Not to be confused with a photography workshop, this trip highlights the beauty and grandeur of the Canyon as seen by Ladd.
