"Our 8 day motor trip from Lee’s Ferry to Whitmore was an extraordinary wilderness adventure for our family of four. The motor trip is a relaxing way to see lots of magnificent scenery, which changed continually as we progressed down the Colorado. With the gear provided by Wilderness River Adventures, camping was easy and comfortable (even for the females in our family, who were new to camping.) Our guides were friendly and knowledgeable about the river and the canyon, and they were also expert boat-handlers. The hot desert climate was balanced by an occasional splash from the rapids. Our guides found lots of fun stops on the river to eat, camp, relax, hike, swim, and see some unique sites. The great memories from this trip will stay with our family forever."

"When I took my first river trip with WRA in 1994, I’d never have guessed that now, in 2011, I’d have just finished my 12th. People told me back then that running the Colorado through Grand Canyon would be a life-changing experience, and they were right. They also said that each trip is better than the last, and they were right about that too. The adrenaline rush of the big rapids, the beauty and majesty of the Canyon, and the opportunity to reconnect with nature all combined to make this June’s trip easily the best river trip I’ve ever taken. "We have been on many other continents and have seem many of the world's wonders, but our trip down the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon right in our own backyard, rates in the top three. My husband was initially "along for the ride,"but within 10 minutes he was totally "onboard:. This trip was the most awe inspiring, naturally wonderful experience one could hope for. It was made even better by our captains, Butch and Al, with their swampers Patrice and Brent. Their knowledge of the river, their attention to safety and their genuine "caring attitude" enhanced this awesome trip. So, I recommend you get a bunch of friends together and experience the river with Wilderness River Adventures-you will long remember your trip and will want to return as we do."
